2016 Election Prayer

God have mercy on America and your people in this land. Forgive us as a nation for forsaking your Word and your pathways and delivers us from those who have pushed us toward the destruction of your ways! Grant us and those who would honor you, your favor in this election. May the schemes of the people and powers who deny you as the one true God be destroyed and may their own ungodly wisdom and schemes be their undoing! Lord God creator and sustainer of all that exist have mercy on America once again in this election.

Not under Condemnation

Psalm 143:1–3
Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications! Answer me in Thy faithfulness, in Thy righteousness! And do not enter into judgment with Thy servant, for in Thy sight no man living is righteous. For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground.     NASB

The psalmist there was struggling with a dark force that attacks almost every one of us at some time or another, the force of condemnation. Each of us has an enemy, an accuser, one who seeks to make us feel guilty, unworthy, one who reminds us of our failures and our shortcomings and our unworthiness, and if we let him go on speaking to us he’ll crush our life down to the ground. The answer is the answer that the psalmist found. He turned to God and he prayed. And he said, “Give ear to my supplications. Answer me in Thy faithfulness and in Thy righteousness.”

When we are facing condemnation and a sense of unworthiness, it is most important that we don’t listen to the enemy any longer; that we turn to God and that we appeal to God for help. Not on the basis of our righteousness or our faithfulness, but on the basis of God’s righteousness and God’s faithfulness. That is the way out from condemnation. That’s the way back into victory.

We don’t ask God to enter into judgment with us, we ask Him to answer us on the basis of His righteousness and His faithfulness and when we do that, we are released from that dark power of condemnation.

What do you see when you look around today? I see wars and rumor of wars Matthew 24:6, I see the flood of darkness (in every form of wickedness) and the battle for the elect of God is being waged by a seemingly endless flood of false causes and doctrines.

But If we look to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith what might we see? Hebrews 12:2

If we look through the Eyes of the King we will see a three-layered or three-dimensional blue print.
1st layer our daily life where mankind seeks to plan, rule and to be as God.
2nd layer contains the plans and schemes of the Satan, to kill, steal and destroy all that God has established. John 10:10
3rd layer revealed the plans and strategy of The Great I Am Exodus 3:14 The Father of Lights James 1:17

We must look past the our earthly sight or the glimpse we may see of our adversary the devil who prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour.1 Peter 5:8 ) and look to ‘God the builder of everything’ Hebrews 3:4 He is the Great I Am, the King of Kings. His Word tells us The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:5. So as much as Satan knows he does not comprehend the ways or plans of God.

Look to God’s Word and see God’s plans and ways so that you might see through the Eyes of the King. Understand that it is ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts’ Zechariah 4:6 God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts Isaiah 55:8. He knows the beginning from the end and every scheme of the evil one is laid bare before Him who from everlasting to everlasting is God.

Become a friend of God because God shows His plans to those He calls His friends John 15:15 His plans come to us with His provision, wisdom and His timing.

In the book of Joshua we see that Israel never lost a battle when they sought the Lord and his strategy.

Look and See through the Eyes of the King, then say with Job “I know that you can do all things! No purpose of yours can be thwarted”. Job 42 2

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic because of them (what you see in the first two layers). For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you." This is an applied paraphrase of Deuteronomy 31:6

What if there is no Burning bush today?

What if there is no Burning bush today? We see the wonder of our God and long for His power and Majesty to be manifest in our daily routine. He is calling us to see and experience His other attributes, perhaps His mercy, his faithfulness or that we simply enjoy the wonders of what we take for granted in our life and all around us. While we are looking for the thunder and lighting we might just appreciate the wonder of hearing and the beauty of sound, or be amazed that we have been given the gift of sight and all there is in His creation to see in the most common of things or events.

When there are no burning bush moments we may be tempted to be bored, discouraged or even complain but have you read His Word today and witnessed how He is with us in all the events of life. Are you ready, are you willing and are you thankful for all the other amazing blessings of our life with God or as I call it the Enoch life. Gen 5:22-24 and Hebrews 11:5-6.

Perhaps the river of God which flows out from His throne is not erupting in revival fire today, God has not gone on Vacation but longs for us to walk with Him to know that He is alive and active in our life and world today.

Have you invited Him into your day, your thoughts, activities and behavior?

Walk with God today, seek His heart, Walk in His ways and embrace the wonder that God the creator and sustainer of all that exist longs to have you walk with him' to live a life of passionate participation in Him. In him we live and breathe and yes exist.

Need a little wonder in your life today. If you have never taken an anatomy and physiology course look into how your eyes are constructed and how it is we have the gift of sight or learn about the wonder of how our ears allow us to hear or our lungs cause us to breathe. These are but a small sample of His wondrous ways. Look for others all around you and in your life today. There may not be a burning bush but there are His wonders and His wonder-filled ways to experience if we are willing to see and enjoy them.
